At this stage of my life, it doesn’t look like having it all figured out.
It doesn’t look like a pristine house or everything going according to plan.
There are things unfinished. Things that still feel unclear.
And instead of rushing to fix all of it, I’m learning to approach it
with a little more patience, a little more grace.
Letting things unfold instead of forcing them into place.
Trusting that not everything has to be figured out all at once.
Because maybe this season isn’t about having it all together,
maybe it’s about learning how to move through it.

When we hear the word legacy, it`s easy to think about the big things we`ll leave behind someday.
But I`ve started to think legacy is built much more quietly than that.
It`s in how we love people. How we help. What we teach. What we stand for. The kindness we offer when no one is watching.
Most of us will never know which moments mattered most to someone else.
So instead of worrying about what I`ll leave behind someday, I`m trying to pay more attention to how I`m living today.
"I hope people remember me as someone who ________."
How would you finish that sentence?

Somewhere along the way, I realized I didn`t want to spend the rest of my life trying to be perfect and do everything the way I was supposed to.
Letting go of who I thought I was supposed to be let me get to know the woman I actually am. To accept her. To be proud of her. And, finally, to love her.
Maybe that`s one of the greatest gifts of getting older.
Not having yourself completely figured out, but realizing you don`t have to be perfect to be worthy of your own love.

I used to think 60 sounded old.
I thought by this age I was supposed to have everything figured out. Instead, it took me this long to understand something much more important:
I actually like who I am.
Getting older hasn`t been about becoming less of myself. It`s been about finally letting go of all the things I thought I had to be.
And there`s nothing scary about that.

There is something about this time of year that naturally invites us to slow down.
The days get shorter. Life moves indoors. Things get a little quieter.
Instead of rushing to fill that quiet, what if you spent some time listening to yourself?
This month`s journal prompt:
When everything gets quiet, what do I notice about the person I`m becoming?
Write without judging your answers. You might be surprised by what you discover.

At some point, you realize you`ve spent a lot of time becoming who everyone else needed you to be.
The one who handles it. Keeps the peace. Shows up. Makes it work.
But this chapter can be different.
If you`re learning to put yourself back into the center of your own life, follow along.

ISome of us get so busy taking care of everyone else that we forget to check in with ourselves.
If you`ve been feeling overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or like you`ve lost sight of who you are, consider this your reminder:
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to set boundaries.
You are allowed to choose yourself without guilt.
Choosing yourself doesn`t mean you love others less. It means you`re caring for the person who`s been carrying so much for so long.

What if the things you see as imperfections are simply part of what makes you, YOU?
You don`t have to wait until you`re healed, confident, or have everything figured out to start living fully.
You are worthy of joy, love, and happiness exactly where you are today.
If you need more reminders like this, you`re in the right place. Follow along. ✨

At 60, I`ve learned that peace comes from letting go of who you thought you had to be and embracing who you truly are.
No matter your age or stage of life, remember this: it`s never too late to become the most authentic version of yourself.

A new season doesn`t always mean it`s time to do more. Sometimes it`s an invitation to slow down and get intentional about what`s next.
As September begins, ask yourself:
What am I ready to nurture in this season to become the best version of myself?
Maybe it`s a dream you`ve put aside, a habit you want to return to, or simply a version of yourself you`d like to make more room for.
You don`t have to rush the process or have the whole plan figured out.
Give yourself permission to grow quietly. What you`re tending now may become something beautiful in the seasons ahead.
